The M4008 and M4016 are standalone or computer-controlled programming stations developed for a true production environment. Designed with long-term production use and adaptability in mind., the M4008/M4016 supports EPROMs, EEPROMs, FLASH, and single-chip microcontrollers.
The M4008 and M4016 support all types of PCMCIA memory cards including linear FLASH, ATA FLASH, and moving-media Type III cards. The M4008/M4016 have the muscle to perform on-board programming of virtually all OEM proprietary memory boards. The M4008/M4016 supports SPD EEPROM programming on standard 100-pin, 144-pin, 168-pin and 200-pin DIMMs. They also support various programmable standard SIMMs and DIMMs.
The M4008/M4016 is equipped with 8/16 programming sockets. Their modular design allows sockets and adapter boards to be changed quickly and easily to accommodate the job at hand. Operating commands are entered through a menu driven LCD display with 23 full-size tactile keys.
The M4008 and M4016 utilize multiple processors for fast production programming. This translates to greater throughput and significant cost savings. For example, the M4008 (M4016) programs eight (16) Intel 28F004BV 4-Mbit Boot Block FLASH parts in 21 seconds.
The computer interface is accomplished using a RS232 serial port or a Centronics Parallel port. The M4008/M4016 comes with a Windows program, M4W, which runs under WIN 3.1, WIN 95, and WIN NT. Firmware updates are free and available through the IMI website.
M4008 pricing is $4,995.00 in single-unit pricing quantities. The M4016 is $8,995.00. Additional programming modules (four sockets each) are priced at $500.00. |
